Visit with Woody!!

Every year the Helvey family vacations at Edisto
Island, SC. This year we drove out there to spend an evening with
Woody and all the Helveys. We had a wonderful time.
It was great to see how much Woody has grown. He is such good baby.
We just love all of the Helveys. They are a wonderful family.

Our favorite things...

We loved the time we spent with Woody.
Whether it was feeding him...

Or rocking him...

Or my favorite, kissing him...

His mother agreed...

Sweet Woody

Woody is a happy baby....

Especially when he is in his mother's arms...

And his father's arms are nice too...

See...a happy baby!!

More with the Helvey's

Jeff is sporting this seasons newest trend, button down
shirt with baby drool on the right shoulder.
It looks good on you!!

Woody is just ganging out with his grandfather and Uncle Barney...

The Helvey men cook and clean...Wow!!!

Woody definitely looks like a Helvey.
But then again so does Chrissy!!

Solid foods...

Woody has already started to eat some baby food.
It may have taken a village to get him to eat it but he did!

Success!!

Mama's Nameday!!

August 15th is Mama's nameday and a very important
religious holiday celebrated by many around the world. So,
we went to church to honor the Virgin Mary.

Famous Bricks...

May flower court is a small park on the church grounds.
There is a gazebo with bricks surrounding it,
which are engraved with some of the parishioners names.
Here are my favorites...

But there was still one more brick Mama wanted to find.
We found it...can you guess what name is on it?

Of course...

More from Aug 15th...

This house is adjacent to the church and it is where
Mama and Thea grew up. They lived in the upstairs apartment.
There was no excuse for being late to church but
Mama managed to get around that!!

Me playing in the May flower court...

Mama's nameday celebration lunch... I love you!

Note: These pictures were taken by professional photographer,
and practically a member of our family, Sharon. Thanks for coming
to church with us and I hope it helped your finger heal.

Opening Day...

In honor of the opening ceremonies of the summer Olympics
Baba marched around the Farmer's Market with the
Greek flag. Greece is always the first country to march out,
as it should be!
Everything comes from the Greeks!!

Go Greece!!!

Unfortunately, when we were packing up from the market our
good friend Sharon cut her finger. It was rather deep and she
had to get seven stitches. This picture is me driving her to the ER.
And of course what does a professional photographer do in this, or
any situation, she took pictures. Good thing it was her left hand!!

Note: The pictures of Baba were taken by Sharon, pre-stitches.
