More from Aug 15th...

This house is adjacent to the church and it is where
Mama and Thea grew up. They lived in the upstairs apartment.
There was no excuse for being late to church but
Mama managed to get around that!!

Me playing in the May flower court...

Mama's nameday celebration lunch... I love you!

Note: These pictures were taken by professional photographer,
and practically a member of our family, Sharon. Thanks for coming
to church with us and I hope it helped your finger heal.

Opening Day...

In honor of the opening ceremonies of the summer Olympics
Baba marched around the Farmer's Market with the
Greek flag. Greece is always the first country to march out,
as it should be!
Everything comes from the Greeks!!

Go Greece!!!

Unfortunately, when we were packing up from the market our
good friend Sharon cut her finger. It was rather deep and she
had to get seven stitches. This picture is me driving her to the ER.
And of course what does a professional photographer do in this, or
any situation, she took pictures. Good thing it was her left hand!!

Note: The pictures of Baba were taken by Sharon, pre-stitches.

Victoria's Moment...

Congratulations to my cousin Victoria on graduating from
the University of Crete!! There were about 200
students in the School of Science and Engineering and
Victoria was the top of her class!! Because of her top honors
she spoke at the graduation much like her cousin Michael
did at his graduation from Cornell.

You are officially a Mathematician now!!!

We are so proud of you!!
I miss all our family in Greece.

A Hallmark Moment!!

We took a weekend off from the farmer's market
so Baba could rest a little. We were greatly missed by
everyone.

Baba received a wonderful get well card that was signed
by every vendor at the market. It had over a hundred
signatures on it. Everyone wrote such wonderful get well wishes,
it was quite touching. Baba wanted to express his gratitude to
everyone and this is how he did it...

If he didn't get them coming, he got them going!!

I want to thank our wonderful friend and the best photographer
in all of Charleston, Sharon, for these photos. She inspires
me to capture and enjoy all the wonderful things that fill our lives and
make it great. She's the best!!

Baba's Hospital Visit

Baba spent three days in the hospital last week.
He is feeling much better now and is back to a
normal routine. While the days in the hospital were
long and stressful, we were also able to have
memorable moments together.

The Who's Who of the 4th Floor...

Even though Baba was in the hospital he kept his
spirits up. He soon became the favorite patient on
the forth floor!

Nichole is one of Baba's right hand women at the office
and she knew exactly what Baba would want to do to
past the time while in the hospital...work!!

We always say that Nichole is part of the family, but maybe
she is my father's biological daughter.
We don't need DNA, here is all the proof we need....

Sisters!!

4th of July Celebration...

We went to the beautiful Riverfront Park, located
right on the Cooper river, to see the Drifters perform.
About twenty thousand people came out to celebrate
America's birthday.

No Forth of July celebration is complete without
funnel cake!!

It was nice to have family in Charleston!

Here are the "ethnic" looking girls of
the Bornhorst family. All we need is Becca
to complete the group!!

While Kylee was in Charleston she wanted
to go to the beach and she wanted to eat
fresh seafood...she came to the right place!!

It doesn't get any fresher than this!

One night we had dinner with the KING!!

It was nice spending time with Aunt Dina.

More of Kylee's visit...

Kylee enjoyed being in the Palmetto State!

Love that necklace Kylee!!

Kylee is taking a picture of Fort Sumter,
where the Civil War started. In the
distance is the longest span bridge in
North America!!
